Dear Praying Amigos,
Three
years ago last month, we purchased three lots for our new church here in
Londrina. This is our 4th church plant in Brazil in the 19 years
that we have been here and it is our second church plant in the city of
Londrina.
First service: 105 present
On
Saturday, October 6th, we officially started the church. The
Lord gave us 105 people for that service. We had 65 people inside the
building and 40 sitting outside on the side walk. Thankfully, it was not
raining so we could seat the overflow of people out on the city sidewalk.
We
are starting this work with one of my Brazilian preacher boys from our
second work. His name is Guto. He is 28 years old and graduated from
Paraná Baptist Bible College in Curitiba, Brazil, a few years ago. He and
his wife Marcia will be helping us at the new work while Geri and I are
working between the two works.
46,000 Invitations
Handed Out Door to Door
To get things started, we printed up 46,000 fliers in the form of nine different invitations for the six weeks of evangelistic services. So far we have had visitors out for just about every service on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday conferences. We have held three weeks of conferences so far. Here is what the Lord has done on the first three weekends
First Weekend: 105 present
30+ first time visitors
On the first night when we had 105 people present, there were over 30 first time visitors from the neighborhood. Besides our church members, two other churches from 1˝ and 3˝ hours away brought 15 people each. Our building had 75 chairs inside the building. There were 65 people inside the building and 40 outside the building on the sidewalk.
Second Weekend: 62 People Present
On the second week we had a
youth group of 23 come 
from
six hours away. We housed them in our main church.
Third Week: 42 present
On our third week, we had a Bible College Choir of six people come and yodeled (sing) at both of our works. We had 42 present the Friday and Saturday services. We had 25 people present for the 5pm Sunday afternoon service.

We have three more conferences planned. Pray for the Lord’s continued blessings.
