Dear Praying Amigos,

Praise the Lord for Easter

Thank you so much for your prayers for our Easter play presentations.  God truly blessed.  We presented our Easter Play with 25 actors.

80 Visitors at our Church Easter Weekend

We printed up 4 thousand full color flyers inviting people to the four presentations at three different churches.  We presented the play twice at our church (Friday and Sunday evenings) and at two different churches on Saturday.  We had 80 visitors and 10 salvation decisions at our church.  We had about 80 people present at each presentation at our church.  At the churches on Saturday the two churches had 75 visitors.  One of the churches on Saturday that normally averages about 70 to 80 had over 160 present.

400 Present & 155+ Visitors

All total we presented the play four times in three churches.  There were 155+ visitors that attended the four presentations.  Twelve people accepted Christ as their Savior.  Pray as we follow up on these new contacts.  We are praising the Lord for what He did over this past Easter weekend.

Bus Ministry Update

Last month we started our Bus ministry here at our church, even though we have no bus.  Last Sunday we walked in 21 children.  Since we started this ministry, three or four families have visited the church and we are stating to hold evangelistic Bible studies with some of these families.  We are praying that the Lord would provide one or two VW Kombis (VW minivan that holds 11).  Used ones cost about $4,000.00 each.

New SS Attendance Record set

As a result of the increased attendance through the bus ministry, our Sunday School attendance has increased as well.  Last Sunday we had 53 in SS with is our highest attendance to date for regular SS.

Starting two New SS Classes

This month we will be dividing one of our Sunday School classes and starting another one. Last Sunday morning our 7-10 year old class had 22 present.  Pray for the new teachers Dudi and Flávia that will be teaching the 4 to 6 year old age group. The teachers will be doing follow up on these children and visiting their families.

2 Unwelcome Visitors

Also over the Easter weekend, we had two visitors that we could have done without.  They came during the night and robbed our church. They took themicrowave oven the girls use to heat up their lunches, all of my wife’s May Kay make up, a gas powdered professional weed eater plus other things. All total they stole more than $1,000.00 in belongings.

Pray for Our Adolescent and Youth Ministry

In the next few weeks we will be starting a Saturday evening youth ministry at church.  In about 6 months, a young couple will be coming to help us in this area.  We want to train our adolescents to serve the Lord.  Pray that the Lord will give me wisdom needed to develop this ministry and to help our kids grow in the Lord.

New Couple Moving to Londrina to help Us

God has called a young married couple from our last church into the ministry and has burdened their hearts to come help us at this work and to train to be full time missionaries in Uruguay.  Pray for Guto and Márcia as they visit churches and raise their support among their Brazilian churches.

Construction Update

During the next 6 months we will be raising US$ 8,350.00 to help us enlarge our current fellowship hall so that it will be able to hold 150 to 175.  We want to enlarge this building before we go home so that our current work will have the room to continue growing for the next few years.  When we return from furlough in 2007, we want to put up a church building for 100 people [4 walls one roof and two restrooms] on the new property.  Pray with us as we raise the funds now so we can get this done before we return home in 2007.
